Inside The Oculus-Photo\u00a0by me<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I was with my Tribeca family and we walked from their apartment thru Brookfield Place down the escalators across the walk and onto Westfield which\u00a0recently opened in the soaring space of The Oculus.<\/p>\n

The Oculus! \u00a0<\/strong>The\u00a0Transportation Hub at the World Trade Center designed by the internationally renowned architect \u00a0Santiago Calvatrava of Spain.<\/p>\n

I thought it was stunningly beautiful! \u00a0How do you combine a subway station and a mall into a grand open shining space…call on a famous architect that’s what you do. \u00a0Amazing!<\/p>\n

Best way to do this walk? \u00a0I always suggest to\u00a0check out websites to see what’s happening not only at Westfield, but also at Brookfield Place. They are connected and \u00a0you’ll never have to go outside. Often special events are taking place that will just add to the fun.\u00a0\u00a0 This is not a quiet walk, but it sure is exciting, especially the first time you do it.\u00a0\u00a0 By the way, stopped at the new Eataly and\u00a0enjoyed a\u00a0lovely\u00a0wine \u00a0and pizza with my family overlooking the World Trade Center and the new Liberty Park.<\/p>\n

It’s a huge place so when you go be sure to\u00a0plan your day,\u00a0don’t rush,\u00a0\u00a0people-watch, perhaps \u00a0walk over \u00a0to Brookfield Place and\u00a0take in a view of the Hudson or do it all in reverse. \u00a0Along your way, you’ll find many places to stop for something to eat plus, of course,\u00a0a glass of wine or an old-fashioned to\u00a0\u00a0give \u00a0your feet a rest and decide where\u00a0\u00a0your next\u00a0steps will take you on this inside walk!<\/p>\n

Important to know<\/strong>: It can get a little crazy during commuting times – so keep in mind it is a transportation hub.<\/p>\n
